  • I run a small daycare and have five children in my care.  They range from 6 months-old up to 3 years-old and occasionally I have a 10 year-old that comes after school.  I love my job and love looking after these little ones while their parents are at work – it also allows me to stay home with my 2 year-old daughter and the kids are great companions for her as well.  Most days are smooth sailing as I have a routine I follow with my little charges; however, there are occasions when one of my kids will not be feeling well.  This can be stressful on the kids, parents and me.  I have the old standbys as far as children’s pain relievers, but my old-fashioned thermometer had to be replaced – it was glass and took forever to get a reading, plus the hassle of putting it under a sick child’s tongue is stressful, to say the least.

The only downside of this thermometer is it should not be used on infants, but that is not enough of a reason to pass over this amazing piece of technology.
